When you receive your new SYW credit card in the mail, it remains inactive for security reasons.
Activation verifies your identity, confirms that the right person received the card, and allows you to:

• Make purchases

• Earn Shop Your Way reward points

• View your account online

• Add authorized users

• Set up payments

• Protect your card against fraud

Until activation is completed, the card cannot be used online or in stores.

This is the secure portal where you can log in and manage your SYW credit card.

Enter:

• User ID

• Password

Then click Sign On.

If you do not have an account yet, click Register Your Card or Create Your Online Account first.

Once inside your dashboard, look for:

• Activate Card

• Card Activation

• Activate New Card

This option is usually available on the homepage or under Account Services.

You will be asked to enter:

• 16-digit SYW credit card number

• Card expiration date

• 3-digit security code (CVV)

• Your name exactly as printed on the card

This ensures Discover verifies that you have the physical card.

You must provide additional identity details such as:

• Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (SSN)

• Date of birth

• Registered phone number

These details prevent unauthorized activation.

Depending on your security settings, you may receive a one-time code via:

• SMS text

• Email

• Automated phone call

Enter the verification code to proceed.

Finally, click the Activate button to complete the process.

Within seconds, your SYW credit card becomes active and ready to use.

Once your card is activated:

Use the card to start earning Shop Your Way rewards.

Supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay (depending on card type).

Add your email, phone number, and billing address.
